We provide feminist resourcing that includes flexible funding, technical accompaniment, and opportunities for collaboration and learning so that feminist organizations can strengthen their leadership, expand their impact, and advance locally defined priorities.

MAREAS provides flexible funding opportunities to support feminist organizations, networks, movements and groups working to advance reproductive autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Available Funding Opportunities
Bolster Fund
Up to USD 50,000
Supports organizations working to prevent unsafe abortion and advance reproductive justice, abortion access, and rights. Funding may support organizational development, service delivery, strategic planning, capacity strengthening, and movement-building.
Connect Fund
Up to USD 50,000
Supports collaboration between reproductive justice organizations and allied social justice movements, including climate justice, disability justice, LGBTQI+ rights, racial justice, migrant justice, indigenous rights, and economic justice movements.
Respond Fund
Up to USD 10,000
Rapid and flexible funding for urgent threats, attacks, crises, or time-sensitive opportunities requiring immediate action.
Who Can Apply?
MAREAS welcomes applications from organizations, networks, and groups that contribute to reproductive justice and social change. We particularly seek applicants who:
- Demonstrate strong local knowledge and leadership.
- Present realistic and context-responsive objectives.
- Apply feminist and inclusive approaches.
- Promote accountability and transparency.
- Strengthen communities, movements, and ecosystems.

Who Reviews Your Application?
At MAREAS, we believe that those closest to the issues are best placed to identify the solutions. That is why we embrace a participatory grant-making approach that shifts decision-making power towards the movements, organizations, and communities driving change on the ground.
All applications are reviewed by MAREAS Regional Committees. These committees bring together individuals with diverse expertise and deep knowledge of the regional contexts, feminist movements, and reproductive justice ecosystems in which MAREAS operates. Their role is to ensure that funding decisions are rooted in local realities, lived experiences, and the priorities of the communities we seek to support.
